The Granite Bay Football program is extremely valuable; it offers an opportunity for every young man at Granite Bay High who is willing to work hard, meet academic requirements, and follow the rules - to be a part of a large, very successful effort predicated on the value of being a loyal teammate, hard worker, intelligent opponent, and a good citizen. Our Football Program Director, Ernie Cooper, sums it up nicely, "It's not how good you are; it's what kind of person you are!"
The Football program is the largest extra curricular activity on campus. Each year, over 200 students participate in the football program to form Frosh, JV and Varsity teams. Because this program has been designed to embrace and develop all willing and dedicated players, students are not cut from the team. The only reason players are dropped from the team is because of ineligibility for grades or poor conduct. Through this program, under the leadership of excellent coaches and coaching philosophy, these players learn the value of hard work, dedication and good citizenship. And most importantly, they understand what it means to be a part of a strong team with a winner's attitude.
The Touchdown Club is a parent organization dedicated to providing support to the players and coaches in the football program at Granite Bay High School for our Freshman, J.V., and Varsity teams. The Touchdown Club is organized under the umbrella of the Granite Bay High Booster Association, a non-profit association, set up exclusively to assist in school activities at Granite Bay High School. Your dedication makes it possible to keep this program operating with the capacity to develop as many students who are willing and able to participate
